What is theory? I think every theory is a representation of something very complex in the field. But the question arises on whether empirical data and facts can stand without theory. Second, if I am not to borrow from the West, what are the resources available to me, in my own location, to create my own theory? Third, theory can never fully address the ground realities you are observing. This leads us to doubt our own theories. They are never perfect, and the practice of fieldwork punctures the universal confidence of the theory.
