Objects of Inquiry and Curiosity – Danielle Nahmias


 

In the Pandora’s Box story, curiosity is seen as universal danger, while the story of ‘curiosity killed the cat’, poses curiosity as personal danger. Part of what scientists do is to put themselves out there, they are in the danger of their own curiosity. They are also in the danger that their curiosity can cause harm to other people.
